Sri lanka electricity delay lost 50 billion rupees

The Public Utilities Commission says that the Ceylon Electricity Board incurs a loss of Rs. 3 billion monthly due to the delay in the construction of the approved long term plans.

Director General of the company, Damitha Kumarasinghe, said that the estimated cost of the project is 2020 billion and 2025 respectively.

Mr. Damith Kumarasinghe said that the losses incurred by the construction work of these plants will be avoided.
