Chinese investors for aquaculture

Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Dilip Wedaarachchi has said that Chinese investors were willing to invest in aquaculture cultivation in the country.

The Prime Minister said that the investors expressed their willingness to invest in this sector.
These investors, who have been in China for more than 30 years in large scale aquaculture cultivation, met with State Minister Dilip Wedaarachchi at the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development recently to discuss the popularization of aquaculture in the country. This is the second time that these investors met with State Minister Dilip Wedaarachchi.

At the meeting Minister Rajapaksa said that Sri Lanka is also focusing on such crops, with many countries that are engaged in fishing in the world, are now focusing on aquaculture and aquaculture which is in high demand in the world market. In addition, attention also focused on egg yolk cultivation.

Accordingly, the importance of accelerating aquaculture, aquaculture, and fish farming in Sri Lanka was emphasized at the discussion. Accordingly, the Chinese investor team is willing to invest in Sri Lanka
