80 percent of pharmaceuticals have 23 factories in the country

By the year 2020, about 33 textile factories had been established to build 80 factories in Sri Lanka.

Healthcare and Indigenous Medicine Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne at the Hilton Colombo recently.

The Minister of Indigenous Medicine, Lakshman Hulugalle, said that this program is being jointly carried out with the State Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Corporation.

The Minister said: “The government is committed to protecting education and health. It is not privatized at the government level,” he said. “We are ready to give up on issues in the production of pharmaceuticals. The pharmaceutical industry is a business and a service. “
