The Minister of Health is to manufacture the necessary Medicine drugs in the country
Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine said that the drugs will be produced in the future and that they will not be imported in the future.

Minister said this at a press conference held at the Government Information Department yesterday.

Also, the price of 48 medicines has been reduced recently. Pharmaceutical manufacturing plants will be established in order to produce all necessary drugs in the country.
"Today, everyone is free to receive drugs without any shortage," Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena said.

According to the minister, 24 fully equipped state-of-the-art emergency units will commence at the end of this year at state hospitals and emergency emergency patients will be deployed to the Colombo National Hospital via air.
